In the poem Frost states " There were ten thousand fruit touch, life down, and not let fall." To me this means cherish every event that happens in your life. If people do things quickly and carelessly the best moments might pass them by.
In the poem Frost also says "But I was well Upon my way to sleep before it fell, And I could tell What form my dream was about to take." This means that he thinks about apple-picking all of the time. He enjoys his job of apple-picking so much that he even dreams about it. It's his whole life and all he thinks about.
Frost used metaphors to inform readers on how he lived his life. He cherished everything he did. Frost picked apples for a living because he loved it regardless of the money he earned from doing so. It is important to learn this from Frost because if someone spends their whole life doing something that they don't like or find interest in, they are not living at all. If someone were to pursue in a career they really wanted they would have less stress in their life and be happier. If money were no object I would like to be some form of a doctor. I like the idea of becoming a doctor because I would get to wake up every morning and go to work knowing I may get to save a life.
