Influence

The person who influences me most in life would have to be my older sister, Amanda. Amanda influences me because she is 19 years old and already has her life in order. She has a car, a job, and goes to college. She's taking classes in college to become a medical assistant. I also want to have a career in the medical field. All of Amanda's grades are high, like A's and B's. She is a nice, smart and caring person. This is why my older sister, Amanda influences me.

Hawaii

If I could live anywhere I would choose to live in Hawaii. I would live in Hawaii because it is beautiful. I would want to live in a beach house. The beaches in Hawaii have soft white sand and clear water. I would love the palm trees and warm weather there. If I were to live in Hawaii I would still like to pursue in the career of a pediatrician. I would do many activities such as scuba diving, snorkeling, and swimming with dolphins.

This project made me realize that you should pursue career that truly makes you happy because you might regret it in the long run. Being happy is more important than having money.

After Apple-Picking

If money were no object people would pursue in the career they really have an interest in. Many people go for the job with the highest pay. If people did what they really wanted they would be happier. Money can't but happiness. Poetry Is one of the most profound ways people express their thoughts and feelings. Int he poem "After Apple-Picking" buy Robert Frost, this is clearly shown. Through the use of metaphors Frost conveys the message that life is "what you want it to be."
In the poem Frost states " There were ten thousand fruit touch, life down, and not let fall." To me this means cherish every event that happens in your life. If people do things quickly and carelessly the best moments might pass them by.
In the poem Frost also says "But I was well Upon my way to sleep before it fell, And I could tell What form my dream was about to take." This means that he thinks about apple-picking all of the time. He enjoys his job of apple-picking so much that he even dreams about it. It's his whole life and all he thinks about.
Frost used metaphors to inform readers on how he lived his life. He cherished everything he did. Frost picked apples for a living because he loved it regardless of the money he earned from doing so. It is important to learn this from Frost because if someone spends their whole life doing something that they don't like or find interest in, they are not living at all. If someone were to pursue in a career they really wanted they would have less stress in their life and be happier. If money were no object I would like to be some form of a doctor. I like the idea of becoming a doctor because I would get to wake up every morning and go to work knowing I may get to save a life.

No Change

If I could go back in time I would not change anything that has happened. I would not change anything that has happened because every event that has taken place has made me who I am today. Yes, there were some rough times but I still would not change a thing. I believe that if certain things would not have happened I would be different. I say this because certain events have made me stronger and opened the path to where I stand today. This would not only effect me, but others as well. It would effect others such as my friends. It would effect my friends because if they would not have met me certain events might not have taken place in their lives that may have changed who they are today.

Hobby

I have many hobbies but I would have to say making videos with one of my best friends Angelina is my favorite. We make videos about pretty much everything we do. Angelina and I make videos of us dancing weirdly, singing in opera voices, eating, doing our hair, painting our nails. having conversations, doing gymnastics, and dressing up in weird clothes. We record everything because almost every time we're together something funny happens. A while ago while Angelina and I were making a video of us eating dinner and Angelina thought of something funny and spit her food everywhere. After she spit her food out we were laughing super loud, we didn't know that he aunt was trying to do homework. He aunt came in the kitchen and yelled at us and we got it all on tape. It was really funny. Unfortunately, my laptop broke and when the company fixed it all of the memory got wiped and all of our pictures and videos were gone. Since then we have made plenty more videos of our everyday life.

Taylor Swift

I do not have a particular favorite type of music or a favorite artist. I like all types of music. If I had to just one I would have to say country music is my favorite. I say country music is my favorite because I can relate to most of the things that the singers sing about, especially Taylor Swift. Taylor Swift's songs are mostly about being in love, getting over break ups and things of that matter. Some of her songs are really sad, but others just make me want to dance. My favorite song Taylor Swift sings is Love Story. Love Story is my favorite song by her because I like the tune and the lyrics. I really enjoy it.

Should the Government Provide Free Child Care?

The government should not endorse in free child care for working parents. If the government were to do so, parents would be carelessly having children because they know they can leave their children at a child care service all day at no cost. The workers would be overwhelmed with the amount of children that they have to care for. There will need to be more employees to supervise all of the children as well. This can create national debt in our Country. Another major supporting issue is that children would be more prone to illnesses. I believe that parents are relying too much on the government for help for their own children. If both parents are working, they should be able to afford the cost of child care. If there would be any exceptions allowing Government funded daycare, it should be limited to single parent households that meet an low income criteria. Due to the fact that the daycare would be limited to society, it would also divide our Country more away from debt.

What I Value in Life

I value many things in life but I would have to say I value friends and family the most. I value friends and family the most because they help me through everything. Without I would have nothing. My friends are there to laugh, cry, joke, and talk with me. When I say friends, that also includes my boyfriend. I don't have very many friends but the ones I do have are amazing. I can talk to them about anything and everything. They are always there for me to count on. My family helps and supports me with everything I do. My family may not be as close as it used to be but, they are still there and always will be.

Camping

This summer I did something super fun! I went camping with my best friend and little sister. We stayed at the Cedar Point campgrounds. We stayed for two nights and three days. The first day we were there we set up our camper then went swimming in the pool. After we swam, we took a walk on the beach, took showers, then went to bed.
On day two we went to Cedar Point. We rode every ride. The first ride we rode was the Top Thrill Dragster and we ended up riding it five more times afterwords. After that we moved on to the Millennium Force. We all agreed that we didn't like it because it was painful. We eventually got tired after being there for 13 hours, so we went back to our camper. It started hailing and thunder storming. On the third day we packed everything up, swam, then headed back home.

Emily is a really common name, but it's my name. It means hard working. My mother didn't pick my name for any specific reason, she just liked it and thought it was pretty. To be honest, I don't mean to be a bane, but I think it sounds like a name a little girl would have.
My middle name is Elizabeth. Yes, if you put my first and middle name together it's Emily Elizabeth like the little girl in Clifford the Big Red Dog. Elizabeth isn't as common as the name Emily, but it's still pretty common. Elizabeth transfers to the Hebrew name 'Elishava' meaning "Gods promise" or "Oath of God". I really like the meaning of it.

Number One Rule

My number one rule is one person talks at a time. I feel it is very annoying when you're trying to say something or listen to someone talk and someone talks over you or the person. When you're in a classroom or just in a general conversation you want to hear the person that is talking to you. If other people are talking and yelling over each other you cannot do so. I believe this rule will make learning more effective because you can hear things the first time they are said without as many distractions.
