Letter

Dear Ms. Baker: 

I have been watching you as you grow. In the years I have been watching you, you have included things you did not want future you to do (me). You have planed basic structures and goals you want me to follow. 

Although you planned goals and structures you have not been on the right path to doing them. I encourage you focus more on school and to find a job and start saving money. Even though you have gone through many obstacles you should still try and stay focused. 

With these goals in mind you should straighten up and try harder. Work for what you want because it will not be handed to you. Proceed on with your life and keep the future in mind.

Responsibility

If person A falls off of person B's roof while mending it, it is person A's fault. I believe that it is person A's fault because they were the person to go on the roof, person B could not have made that person do anything. A could have been more careful. If B walks by A who is homeless on the street it is A's responsibility. It is A's responsibility because they could have done something to make their life better so they were not on the street begging other people for the money they have worked for. If B lends A their car which has bad breaks and A gets into an accident it is B's fault. It is B's fault because they did not tell person A that the breaks were bad which caused the accident. I think a way to define who has responsibility is looking at the whole situation and seeing where is started and what went wrong and who made the choice to do it. When I am in a bad situation I decide who takes the responsibility for it by deciding who came up with the idea and who took part in it.

Project

A project I spent a great deal of time and effort on was an egg project in the sixth grade. The project was to make some type of case for an egg so it was able to be dropped ten foot above ground without breaking. The most difficult aspect of this project was finding something that would protect the egg when it hit the ground. I tried many different things such as cutting a hole in a Twinkie and putting the egg inside and then tying a tissue on it with string as if it were a parachute. That idea did not work out. I do not remember what other things I tried but it took me days to come up with something that actually protected the egg during the fall. I put memory foam, tissues, and cotton balls in a plastic container along with the egg and tested it. It finally worked. The result did make the time and effort worth it. I got a good grade on the project and mine was one of the very few that worked.

Discoveries

Some ways people throughout the ages have explored the unknown by going after what they want and what they believe.
Getting money for the ship was hard for Columbus but the spanish liked his idea. Columbus wanted to be able to say that the earth was round. He proved this by sailing west instead of east to what he thought was asia. He didn't know he sailed to a new land.
Some sacrifices he had to make where to leave his home life behind to make his discoveries.

Bullying

    People everywhere bully. It is a leading cause of suicide in young teens today. I believe people bully because it makes them feel powerful. It makes them feel like they have power over the person they are bullying because they know that they are embarrassing them in front of many people. I think people are most likely to bully over the internet. People are more likely to cyber bully because they feel as if they are protected by the computer screen. If someone saw a person bullying another person I think they are more likely to stand up for them over the internet. They would stand up to them over the internet because if it were in person anything can happen. 

    It is wrong to take things from other people in my opinion. People work hard for the things that they have and it is not right for someone to just take it from them. I think people steal from other people because they are not happy are not happy with the things they have. They feel a need to take the things they want instead of working for it like the person they took it from. There are people that can  not afford certain things but they are capable of working and earning the money for it themselves.
